Valentine’s Day: A Love Story

This is an amazingly beautiful story of a lifetime love. Harold and Marion Weisberg have been married for 65 years. Marion has suffered from ALZ for over 10 years and no longer recognizes Harold as her husband, but that hasn’t for a moment changed his loving life long commitment to her. “We said, ’til death do us part.’ There is no fine print or exception for Alzheimer’s.

Take a few minutes to read the both heartwarming and heartbreaking story of Harold and Marion.

Harold still courts his wife Marion, who, stricken with Alzheimer’s, has forgotten him… by Robin Erb, Detroit Free Press

Happy Valentine’s Day…

Through the Eyes of a Child

Sunny Rae Keller is a 9-year old girl and is most likely in to all the things typical 9-year old girls are in to. But, her Nana was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s around the time Sunny was born, so she has grown up watching the disease progress. Sunny recently wrote and performed this original song, “I Remember,” for her school’s PTA program.

Watch and listen…. through the eyes of a child…

“She used to hold my hand, but now I hold hers.“
