This week is National Volunteer Week, and Sherri Snelling (CEO, Caregiving Club) has a great piece in the Huffington Post suggesting eight ideas for helping family caregivers. From making/delivering meals to providing rides or an hour or two of respite care, Sherri has some excellent suggestions.
Take a few minutes to read 8 Ways to Volunteer to Help America’s Largest Volunteer Health Care Work Force: Family Caregivers.
Think about other ways you might be able to help. Offer to pick up groceries, run errands, or mow the lawn for an overwhelmed caregiver. A small gesture goes a long way…
