Most pet lovers will tell you that they would often rather spend time with their pets than many of the people they have to deal with day in and day out. Our pets are our hearts, aren’t they? Tucker has been my saving grace many times in the past five months… I sit and cry, and he just cuddles up next to me, looking at me with those sad, “what can I do to help, mommy?” eyes.
Little does he know how much he helps just by being such a constant in my life… And, I don’t have to worry that he’ll judge me for being “too emotional” or “not strong enough.” He really doesn’t care one way or the other – no matter what, at the end of the day, he thinks I’m the best thing since sliced cheese!
